For an electric stove won’t start, check if the appliance is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the oven power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is burning, that means a different part will have to be fixed. The reason for the problem might be the infinite switch, surface element, igniter or broil and bake element.
A burner or stove or oven without produce heat won’t do much. Your oven won’t heat if there’s a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. Your burner will not turn on if an element is broken or the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We can troubleshoot and fix these issues in less than 1-2 hours after we arrive.
You can assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken when the program or timer functions aren’t working. If that’s the case, we know how to replace control panels for Sears, GE, LG, Kenmore, KitchenAid and several other brands of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and the manufacturer parts we need for this type of stove repair service.
You always want a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the oven heat is extremely hot, it might be due to an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians are able to identify the location of the issue and then repair it. But be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of body burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.
A common stove issue is that an igniter glows but doesn’t light. The cause is from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We are able to determine if we are able to repair these parts or if we need to replace the parts.
Newer self-cleaning ovens sometimes experience door issues. The door does not open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door latch, seal and thermostat to identify why the door does not open up and then complete the repair so we can correct the problem.
